One checked specialist, not five quotes
Find the installer who specialises in your heat pump job.
A new heat pump, a ducted system, servicing, a repair or home ventilation. Tell us the job and your postcode. Local installers who specialise in that work, and whose registrations we've checked, see it, and the one who takes it gets in touch to quote.
- A ducted heat pump goes to a ducted specialist. Ventilation goes to someone who fits it every week.
- Only the installer who takes your job gets your details.
- Free for you. Installers pay us for each job we pass on.
Warmer, drier, or both?
Most homes here need heating more than cooling, and plenty need a drier house as much as a warmer one. Start with the job you've got, and installers who do that work where you live will see it.
Heat pumps
New heat pumps, replacing an old one, or getting the one you have working properly again.
Ventilation and heating
Drier air, warmth moved where it's needed, and heating that isn't a heat pump.
How it works
- 01
Tell us the job
What you need, what's there now and your postcode. It takes a couple of minutes, and you can say more when the installer gets in touch.
- 02
Local specialists see it
A ducted heat pump goes to ducted specialists, ventilation to people who fit it every week. We check their registrations before they can see jobs, and only the one who takes yours gets your contact details.
- 03
They get in touch to quote
The installer arranges a time to look and gives you a written quote. Whether you go ahead is up to you. If no local installer takes it within 48 hours, installers elsewhere in your region may see it too.
The specialist for your job. Not five phone calls.
Plenty of quote sites pass your details to several businesses at once, and they all get in touch. Your job goes to local installers who specialise in it, and only the one who takes it gets your number. If the quote isn't right for you, you're free to say no.
How it worksWhich system suits your home?
The short version of each. The guides go deeper.
| System | Good for | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| High-wall heat pump | Heating a living area or bedroom, with cooling on hot days. | One room or open space per indoor unit. |
| Ducted heat pump | Even heat through the whole house, room by room with zoning. | Needs ceiling or underfloor space for the ducts. A bigger job. |
| Multi-room | Several rooms from one outdoor unit. | If the outdoor unit stops, every room stops. |
| Floor console | Rooms with low windows or no space high on the wall. | Takes up floor space by the wall. |
| Home ventilation | Damp, condensation and stale air. | It moves and filters air. It isn't a heater on its own. |
| Underfloor heating | Gentle, even warmth from the floor up. | Easiest in a new build or a full floor replacement. |
What size heat pump do I need?
Too small and it runs flat out on the coldest night. Too big and it switches on and off and never feels right. Here's how sizing works.

Questions people ask
Is it free?
Yes, for you. Installers pay us for each job we pass on. That's how we're paid, and it's why we only work with installers whose registrations we've checked. How we're paid.
Who sees my job?
Registration-checked installers near you who do that kind of work. A ducted system for the whole house and a single high-wall unit are different jobs, so different specialists see them. The one who takes your job gets in touch.
Who gets my details?
Only the installer who takes your job. Other installers see the job and your suburb, never your phone number or email, and we never sell your details. Privacy.
Do you install or repair anything yourselves?
No. We're a referral service. Local installers do the work, quote you directly and stand behind their own work.
Why don't you show prices?
Because every home is different. The size of the rooms, the insulation, where the units can go and what's there now all change the job. A written quote from an installer who has seen your home is the only number worth having.
